Chapters of the Naadi Shastra

There are sixteen chapters, or kandams, in the palm leaves.

An individual’s worldly and spiritual life is serialized in Kandams, in which family, marriage, profession, wealth, luck, relationships between brothers and sisters are all explored. In some chapters, previous births and sins are described, and each kandam (2 to 16) presents the problems and solutions Atri Maharishi has committed.

A general introduction to Kandam/Chapter 1

The reading includes the Nadi seeker’s name, life span, way of living, identity, spouse’s name, and details about their parents, current profession, siblings and children. Based on the planetary positions at birth mentioned in the Nadi leaf, this chapter will provide an overview of future predictions for all 12 houses. It can be accessed through a thumb impression (right for men, left for women) or by the person’s horoscope or palm. The information will also include names of parents and spouse, siblings and children, profession, and a general list of future predictions for each house.

Education and Wealth in Kandam/Chapter 2

A Nadi seeker’s Wealth, Family, and Education, as well as their Eyesight and Speech, are detailed in this chapter.

The Brothers and Sisters of Kandam/Chapter 3

In this chapter, the siblings of the Nadi seeker are described along with their relationships with them, problems, and ill feelings, if any.

The Influence of Mothers, Assets, and Fortune in Kandam/Chapter 4

The 4th Kandam explains the Mother’s role and influence in the Nadi seeker’s life, as well as his house, vehicles, lands, treasures, and general material comforts.

Children / Offspring / Progeny / Pregnancy in Kandam/Chapter 5

Children’s seekers are discussed in detail in this chapter. They are predicted in terms of birth, lifespan, achievements, problems, death, and overall performance. They are also suggested remedial measures. Nadi seekers are also predicted to or not have children, as well as detailed information about them.

Chapter 6 – Disease, Debt, and Litigation

As part of the 6th Kandam, the Nadi Seeker learns about diseases, how they affect their lives, their causes, and their duration. The Life Span of Kandam/Chapter 8

The topic of this chapter is one’s lifespan, accidents, if any occur, and court litigation.

Property, father, and spiritual inclinations in Kandam/Chapter 9

Among other things, this chapter discusses the Nadi seeker’s ancestral property, their father, and the wealth he accumulated as well as his spiritual inclinations if any.

Business/Chapter 10

Tenth Kandam is about your business life; it tells what kind of business is suited to you or which kind shall bring you ample profits, losses, etc.

Conveyance, second marriage, Kandam/Chapter 11

In this chapter, you will learn how you can gain any benefit by utilizing any conveyance, such as cars, two-wheelers, etc., and about your second marriage.

Chapter 12 – Expenses, Foreign Visits, Rebirth, Salvation

This chapter gives information about your expenditure of money. Moksha or heavenly status is explained in addition to monetary benefits, higher status resulting from foreign trips and foreign contacts; it also explains how you spent your money and how it happened. In addition, it discusses where you will be born, your living conditions, and your next birth.

Chapter 13 – Previous Births and Remedies (Shanti Kandam)

There are several topics covered in this chapter, including the history of last birth, last birth sins, demerits accrued in this life due to last birth sins, and remedial measures.

The Upadesh of Mantras (Deeksha Kandam) in Kandam/Chapter 14
